A Minute With Mom

A Few More  Minutes

Life is Short

I don't know who first coined that phrase, "life is short", but, as we all know, how true it is! You've heard things over and over again, like 'today is the first day of the rest of your life', and 'take time to smell the roses'. Nice sentiments, but what do we do about it? Anything? Have you really taken the time to feel the moment? To enjoy where you are and what is happening right now? So, why not? You can continue reading this, like you always do, thinking 'yeah, yeah, I know, life's short', or you can pause to feel it right now. Take in a deep breath and savor the feeling as you let it out. Do it again, slowly. Close your eyes and listen to the sound of your deep breathing. That is life. That is your life. That is one breath less that you have left in your life. How many more do you have left? Life is short. Fill your life with moments to savor – moments to feel – moments to enjoy.
And use your breath to thank God for each of those moments, no matter how many - or how few.
